Young Sheldon: Plot
There is Normal Life. And Then There is Life with Young Sheldon. Is it normal to be smarter than your parents? Or to have a brother who is more interested in his hair than his studies and a twin sister whose personality is the opposite of yours? It is if you are Sheldon Cooper, the phenomenally gifted 11-year-old living in East Texas with his parents, George Sr and Mary; siblings, Georgie and Missy; and tough-talking, beloved Meemaw. Season Threes 21 hilarious episodes follow Sheldon as he tests the patience of his family, the proofs of his analytical theories and the limits of his knowledge of the real world. Whether he is taking a break from science to obsess about Hobbits or setting foot on the Caltech campus for the very first time, you will not want to miss a nanosecond of this boy genius' genuinely heartwarming boyhood.
Young Sheldon: Overwiev
Jon Favreau directed the first episode of the series, which stars Iain Armitage as 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper, as well as Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan.
Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak serve as executive producers of the series, from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Jim Parsons narrates as the adult Sheldon.
This show is filming in single camera.
The trailer shows how Sheldon Cooper became who he is. He still had the arrogant, egotistical and narcissistic personality even when he was young. He still criticizes others and thinks he is superior to everyone else.
Sheldon was watching Professor Proton when he was a kid and was his inspiration to become a scientist.
Sheldon Cooper's timeline on the show starts from the fall of 1989, when he started high school at age 9. Sheldon won't start college til the fall of 1991.

Young Sheldon
Renewed For Season 3 And Season 4 On CBS And CBS All Access
Young Sheldon has had quite a sophomore year—so good, we're getting two more seasons of the hit comedy!
CBS has renewed the show beginning with the 2019-2020 broadcast season. The prequel to The Big Bang Theory takes us into the early life of Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) as a child in Texas.
Much like Sheldon is a bit of a prodigy, the young series is already television's #2 most-watched comedy, behind only its lead-in and precursor, The Big Bang Theory. It stars Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts. Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, Jim Parsons, and Todd Spiewak are the executive producers.
"Thanks to Chuck Lorre's and Steve Molaro's outstanding creative leadership, Young Sheldon has been a powerful performer for the network with an audience that towers over most of the television landscape," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment.
Added Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, "The Coopers are portrayed by an amazing cast, and we are looking forward to having the gifted writing staff mine even more of Sheldon's hilarious backstory and the warm family dynamic that has made this comedy a favorite with audiences for the past two seasons."
Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper had to be less ‘annoying’ in spin-off, showrunner reveals
The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper had to be less “annoying” in his spin-off series, showrunner Steve Molaro has revealed.
Appearing on the I Saw That Years Ago podcast, Molaro discussed the differences in character between Sheldon as an adult (Jim Parsons) on TBBT and as a child (Iain Armitage) on spin-off Young Sheldon.
“When we were writing that pilot we didn’t want to just write him as adult Sheldon and have a kid just say it,” Molaro explained. “We liked to lay Easter eggs from The Big Bang Theory in Young Sheldon.
“As annoying as adult Sheldon can be, he can get away with it so we decided he’s not this person yet [and] we made him a lot more naive.”
Young Sheldon Took A Big Step Toward The Big Bang Theory In Season 3 Finale
The end of the video featured Dr. Sturgis telling Mary that he knows this is a hard decision for her, but if she let Sheldon become a student there, they'd all take care of him. After the video plays, George has Sheldon leave the room so he can talk to Mary, and when he says, "Well?" she responds by saying, "I guess our baby is going to college." Several achievements unlocked!
So, we'll get to watch Sheldon annoy a whole new group of teachers and students on Season 4 of Young Sheldon, seeing as how it's already been renewed. Until then, you can watch old episodes on CBS All Access, and see what's coming up on the small screen with our guide to summer TV!
Young Sheldon: Review
"This show continues to warm the heart, tickle the funny bone, and impress. Every character is hilarious and well acted. Iain is perfect playing Sheldon. As are the rest of the cast. It is great to see the character from the perspective of a kid. Can't wait for more. Glad this show makes real Star Trek references, unlike it's parent show Big Bang Theory.
A+. (...as if Sheldon could score anything else)"
